About Uyuni Sky Salt
Uyuni Sky Salt is sourced from Uyuni Salt Flat (Salar de Uyuni). Uyuni Salt Flat is in southwest Bolivia, 3,656 m (≈11,995 ft) above sea level, and covers over 10,000 km². It is the world’s largest salt flat.
Millions of years ago, the South American Altiplano was deep under the sea. Long before humans or factories existed, this ancient water stayed perfectly clean. After a massive geologic uplift pushed the ground 3,656 meters high, the hot sun dried the water and turned it into pure mineral salt.
