Virus Inactivation Test
– Test Report –
1. Title
Virus Inactivation Test
2. Test Number
207636N
3. Purpose
The test was conducted to evaluate the effect of the test substance, GLM concentrated solution, on feline calicivirus.
4. Test Substance
GLM Concentrated Solution
5. Test Microorganism
Feline Calicivirus (FCV), F-9 strain
The virus was pre-cultured in CRFK cells and then diluted 10-fold with sterilized phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) to prepare the test virus solution.
6. Test Groups

7. Test Procedure
Two test tubes were prepared, and 10 mL of either the test substance or control saline solution was added to each.
1 mL of feline calicivirus solution was added to each tube. After the designated reaction time, the mixture was inoculated onto CRFK cells and cultured at 37°C with 5% CO₂ for 7 days.
After culture, viral titers were determined based on the presence or absence of cytopathic effects (CPE) in the cells. For the control group, viral titers were measured immediately after inoculation to serve as the initial virus titer.
8. Results (※1)
In the control group, no significant change in viral titer was observed from the start to the end of the test.
In the GLM concentrated solution group:
After 15 minutes, the viral titer was 10².⁹ TCID₅₀/mL.
After 60 minutes and beyond, the viral titer was below the quantification limit (10².⁵ TCID₅₀/mL).
Compared with the initial titer, the viral reduction was 99.97% after 15 minutes and 99.99% or more after 60 minutes.
