Silicon Nutrition?
Plant UMO
About Plant UMO®
Plant UMO is a concentrated liquid silicic acid made from Japanese rice husks.
Silicon is recovered from rice husks and processed into a water-soluble form for agricultural and livestock use. The liquid concentrate is easy to dilute. It can be applied through foliar spraying, irrigation or hydroponic systems, or used as a silicon supplement for livestock.
By turning rice husks into a crop nutrition resource, Plant UMO supports the reuse of agricultural by-products.

What Makes
Plant UMO Different?
Silicon is a beneficial element for plants.
Although it is generally not classified as an essential nutrient,
it can support plant growth and improve tolerance to environmental stress.
↓
Plants cannot directly use every form of silicon.
Plant roots mainly absorb monosilicic acid (H₄SiO₄) dissolved in water.
↓
A major challenge with monosilicic acid is its unstable molecular structure. Depending on concentration, pH and other conditions,
it may gradually polymerise and form colloids or gels.
This reduces the silicon available for direct plant uptake.
↓
To improve silicon uptake by plants and product stability, Plant UMO uses patented molecular modification technology to convert monosilicic acid into a hexagonal oligomeric silicic acid structure, Si₆O₆(OH)₁₂.
↓
This allows plants to absorb and use silicon more effectively.
Its water-soluble liquid form makes it easy to apply in agriculture.
After dilution with water,
it can be used for foliar spraying, irrigation and hydroponics.

Circular Agriculture

SDGs Supporting
Reusing Rice Husk Resources to Practice Circular Agriculture
In Japan, approximately 400,000 tons of rice husks
are discarded as industrial waste each year.
Through recycling and reuse, the silicon resources in rice husks can be converted into food ingredients or agricultural fertilizers,
contributing to both human health and plant growth.
↓
PLANT UMO converts the silicon resources in rice husks into a water-soluble silicic acid liquid fertilizer, returning it to crop nutrition management and promoting the circular reuse of agricultural resources.
↓
SDG 2 | Zero Hunger
Provides a silicon nutrition management option for crops, supporting sustainable agricultural production.
↓
SDG 12 | Responsible Consumption and Production
Recycles silicon resources from rice husks, enhancing the utilization value of agricultural byproducts.
